Overview

Yuyuan Bioscience held exclusive development and commercialization rights for nolasiban, an oxytocin receptor antagonist to improve pregnancy rates in IVF, in China. However, the license agreement was terminated in July 2023 due to missed milestones. Nolasiban demonstrated a 5% absolute improvement in ongoing pregnancy rates versus placebo in more than 1,700 women globally, with a favorable safety profile, but Yuyuan never advanced beyond the IND/early clinical stage in China[3][4][6][8].
