Zhejiang Prolong Pharmaceutical Technology

Zhejiang Apeloa Medical Technology (historically translated as Zhejiang Prolong Pharmaceutical Technology) was a Chinese biopharmaceutical company and a subsidiary of Apeloa Pharmaceutical. The company focused on the research and development of small molecule therapeutics, primarily targeting acute ischemic stroke and oncology. Its lead candidate, sofadil (a dual NMDAR2B inhibitor and antioxidant), reached Phase 3 clinical trials for acute ischemic stroke before the trial was terminated in January 2024 due to pandemic-related data integrity concerns. The company also conducted preclinical research on ZLD1039, a selective EZH2 inhibitor for breast cancer. Zhejiang Apeloa Medical Technology has since been deregistered and is no longer active.
