Zmed (formerly Z-Med, Inc.) was a medical technology company specializing in advanced software and hardware solutions for radiation oncology and stereotactic radiosurgery. The company was best known for developing the SonArray system, an ultrasound-guided patient positioning technology that improved the accuracy of radiation delivery for prostate and other soft-tissue cancers. Zmed also provided frameless stereotactic systems and laser-based patient alignment tools to enhance precision in radiotherapy.
