Zogenix MDS

Zogenix was a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing and commercializing transformative therapies for people living with rare diseases, particularly orphan neurological disorders. The company's flagship product, Fintepla (fenfluramine), is FDA-approved for the treatment of seizures associated with Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. Zogenix also advanced MT-1621, an investigational substrate replacement therapy for the treatment of TK2 deficiency, into late-stage clinical development. In March 2022, Zogenix was acquired by the global biopharmaceutical company UCB for approximately $1.9 billion. This acquisition integrated Zogenix's rare epilepsy expertise and commercial products into UCB's existing neurology portfolio.
