Zoltan Laboratories was a pharmaceutical company founded by Zoltan Kiss, primarily recognized for its pioneering role in the development and early commercialization of oxymetholone, a potent oral anabolic-androgenic steroid. Marketed under the brand name Anadrol, the drug became a standard treatment for severe anemia and various muscle-wasting conditions during the mid-20th century. The company was acquired by Syntex Corporation in the early 1960s, which significantly expanded the global reach of its hormone-based therapies.
