Zsolt Lohinai

Zsolt Lohinai is a Hungarian clinical researcher and entrepreneur, primarily operating through his company MinDent 1987 Kft, with a focus on translational medicine in dentistry and oncology. He is best known for developing an innovation award-winning DNA test that assesses genetic susceptibility to periodontal disease and its potential links to systemic conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. His therapeutic pipeline includes the development of lysine decarboxylase (LdcE) inhibitors and vaccines aimed at treating periodontitis by targeting bacterial enzymes in dental biofilms. Additionally, Lohinai conducts extensive research on the clinical efficacy of hyper-pure chlorine dioxide (Solumium) and investigates molecular biomarkers, including KRAS mutations and microbiome signatures, in lung cancer patients.
