Zydus Research Center (ZRC) is the dedicated research and development arm of Zydus Lifesciences, a leading global pharmaceutical company based in India. The center focuses on the discovery and development of New Chemical Entities (NCEs), novel biologics, and innovative vaccines across therapeutic areas such as metabolic disorders, oncology, and infectious diseases. ZRC is notably responsible for developing Saroglitazar, the world's first drug approved for Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), and ZyCoV-D, the world's first plasmid DNA vaccine for COVID-19. With a team of over 400 scientists, the center operates state-of-the-art facilities to advance its pipeline from early-stage discovery through clinical development.
