ZymagenX

ZymagenX is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing innovative therapies for gastrointestinal and autoimmune disorders, with a primary focus on celiac disease. Co-founded in May 2025 by industry veterans Jack Syage and Jennifer Sealey-Voyksner, the company serves as the successor to ImmunogenX to advance the clinical development of latiglutenase (ZMGX003). Latiglutenase is a Phase 3-ready, orally administered mixture of two gluten-specific recombinant proteases designed to degrade dietary gluten in the stomach, thereby preventing intestinal mucosal injury and alleviating symptoms. ZymagenX is also validating the VCIEL scale, a composite morphometric duodenal biopsy mucosal scale, to improve histological assessments in celiac disease clinical trials.
