Zymenex was a Scandinavian biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development and commercialization of novel enzyme replacement therapies for severe, inherited lysosomal storage diseases. Its lead program, Lamazym® (velmanase alfa), targeted alpha-mannosidosis and reached Phase III clinical trials before being acquired by Chiesi Farmaceutici. The drug has since been approved as Lamzede® in Europe. Other pipeline assets included Metazym for MLD and Galaczym for Krabbe’s disease.
