Zynaxis

Zynaxis was a Pennsylvania biotechnology company focused on proprietary cell-linker technology designed to attach therapeutic or diagnostic molecules to living cells and other biological surfaces. The company developed the Zyn-Linker platform for site-specific drug and vaccine delivery, cell tracking, and antithrombotic applications, and also worked on immune-monitoring diagnostics such as the Zymmune system. Its disclosed internal pipeline appears to have remained largely preclinical, with programs including linker-based hirudin and heparin conjugates and other delivery-focused candidates. Zynaxis completed an IPO in 1992 and later merged with CytRx in 1997, after which it ceased to operate as an independent public biotech company.
