Overview

α β DBM is a human allograft-derived demineralized bone matrix (DBM) developed by Alpha-Beta Technologies for use in bone-related surgical procedures. The product is processed to maintain the natural collagen scaffold and essential growth factors, particularly bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), which are critical for bone regeneration. By removing the mineral content, the bioavailability of these osteoinductive proteins is increased, allowing the graft to actively recruit and induce the differentiation of progenitor cells into bone-forming osteoblasts. Simultaneously, the matrix provides an osteoconductive environment that supports the attachment and proliferation of new bone cells. It is typically used in spinal fusions, orthopedic trauma repair, and dental reconstructions to fill bone voids and facilitate fusion.
