Drug intelligence / Profile preview
α-LGR5 antibody is a preclinical-stage, highly specific monoclonal antibody raised against the N-terminal extracellular domain of human leucine-rich repeat-containing G-protein coupled receptor 5 (LGR5), a well-validated stem cell and cancer stem cell marker. Developed by researchers at the University of Cambridge and spun out into AdcoTx, the antibody has been engineered into multiple therapeutic formats, including an antibody-drug conjugate (α-LGR5-ADC) carrying monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE), a bispecific T-cell engager (α-LGR5/α-CD3 BiTE), and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T and NK cells. α-LGR5 antibody and its derivatives have demonstrated potent preclinical efficacy in vitro and in vivo against LGR5-expressing malignancies, such as colorectal cancer (CRC), hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), and pre-B acute lymphoblastic leukemia (pre-B-ALL).
