Drug intelligence / Profile preview
αDC1-DLK1 vaccine is an experimental, preclinical cell-based cancer immunotherapy. It is a therapeutic dendritic cell vaccine consisting of alpha-type-1 polarized dendritic cells (αDC1) pulsed with a peptide derived from delta-like 1 homologue (DLK1), a pericyte marker on tumor-derived blood vessels. The vaccine is designed to prime cytotoxic T cells against DLK1-expressing tumor vasculature, thereby ablating the tumor blood supply. In preclinical models of colorectal cancer and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), the vaccine has demonstrated anti-tumor and anti-metastatic activity, particularly when combined with immune checkpoint blockade (such as anti-PD-1 therapy).
