αFAP-IR700 is a **monoclonal antibody-drug conjugate** consisting of an anti-fibroblast activation protein (FAP) antibody covalently linked to the near-infrared photosensitizer IRDye700DX (IR700). It is used in **near-infrared photoimmunotherapy (NIR-PIT)** to target and eradicate **cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs)** in solid tumors, particularly **pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC)**. Upon binding to FAP on CAFs, exposure to near-infrared light induces rapid cell death via photo-induced physical membrane damage and immunogenic cell death (ICD), leading to a reduction of tumor stroma and potentially enhancing antitumor immune responses and the efficacy of chemotherapy[1]. Primary indication: preclinical studies in **pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma** (PDAC)[1].
