β-catenin transcriptional complex inhibitors are a class of small molecule therapeutics being developed by StemSynergy Therapeutics to treat Wnt-driven cancers. These inhibitors work by disrupting the formation or activity of the β-catenin transcriptional complex, which is a key downstream effector of the Wnt signaling pathway. In many cancers, aberrant activation of the Wnt pathway leads to the accumulation of β-catenin in the nucleus, where it binds to TCF/LEF transcription factors to drive the expression of oncogenes. By blocking this transcriptional complex, these agents aim to inhibit tumor growth and progression. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
