Overview

**δ-catenin peptide vaccine 2** is a therapeutic peptide vaccine designed to target delta-catenin (CTNND2), a tumor-associated antigen that is stress-induced and overexpressed in several cancer types, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This vaccine is intended to provoke an immune response primarily by activating cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs), especially CD8+ T cells, leading to increased infiltration and activity of these cells in tumor tissue. The activation is mediated through antigen presentation, engagement of MAPK/ERK signaling, and upregulation of the transcription factors Eomes and T-bet. Preclinical studies show this vaccine can inhibit tumor growth, increase IFN-γ production, and extend survival in mouse models of HCC. δ-catenin peptide vaccine 2 was designed based on MHC-I binding activity and immunogenicity, with sequences conserved between human and mouse. Combination immunization with δ-catenin peptide vaccine 1 and 2 showed enhanced efficacy in animal models[1][3].
