Drug intelligence / Profile preview
АД-М-БІОЛІК is a monovalent bacterial vaccine developed and manufactured by Biolik Biopharmaceutical in Ukraine for the prevention of diphtheria. The vaccine consists of purified diphtheria toxoid (diphtheria anatoxin) adsorbed onto an aluminum hydroxide gel adjuvant. The "M" designation indicates a modified formulation with a reduced antigen content (5 Lf per 0.5 mL dose), making it suitable for routine booster immunization and primary vaccination in children aged 6 years and older, adolescents, and adults. It functions by stimulating the immune system to produce specific antitoxic antibodies, providing active immunity against the toxins produced by *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*. The vaccine is administered via intramuscular or subcutaneous injection and is often used in public health programs for adult re-vaccination.
