Drug intelligence / Profile preview
⁶⁸Ga-NOTA-LSA (also known as [68Ga]Ga-NOTA-LSA) is a gallium-68-labeled, lactosylated human serum albumin (LSA) conjugate coupled with the chelator NOTA (2-(p-isothiocyanatobenzyl)-1,4,7-triazacyclononane-1,4,7-triacetic acid). It is designed as a positron emission tomography (PET) radiopharmaceutical targeting the asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGPR, specifically ASGR1) on hepatocytes. By binding to ASGPR, the tracer allows for the quantitative, non-invasive assessment of functional hepatic reserve (FHR) and future remnant liver function, which is critical for preoperative planning in patients undergoing hepatectomy or evaluating liver fibrosis. The agent has been formulated as a sterile, lyophilized kit to enable rapid, one-step radiolabeling with high efficiency and stability.
