The preparation contains a complex mixture of herbal ingredients, including *Arctium lappa* (牛蒡草), *Impatiens balsamina* (凤仙透骨草), *Aconitum* species (川乌, 草乌, 附子), and *Cinnamomum cassia* (肉桂, 桂枝). Clinical research, including a 2021 study, has indicated that the external application of this plaster is effective in relieving breast pain and reducing the size of breast lumps associated with hyperplastic conditions.
