Overview
苍耳子鼻炎胶囊 (Cang'erzi Biyan Jiaonang) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Sichuan Senke Pharmaceutical (Senkeyuan). It is an oral capsule indicated for the treatment of wind-heat type nasal diseases, including acute and chronic rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis. The formulation is composed of several herbal extracts: *Xanthium sibiricum* (Cang'erzi), Gypsum (Shigao), *Angelica dahurica* (Baizhi), *Magnolia biondii* (Xinyihua), and *Scutellaria baicalensis* (Huangqin), supplemented with Borneol and Menthol. Its therapeutic actions include dispersing wind, clearing lung heat, opening nasal passages, and relieving headaches associated with nasal congestion. It is an approved product in China, listed in the National Essential Drugs and National Medical Insurance catalogs.
