Overview
诺磁平 (Nifedipine CR) is a controlled-release formulation of nifedipine developed by Ahon Pharmaceutical (also known as Avance Pharmaceutical). As a dihydropyridine-type calcium channel antagonist, it specifically targets L-type voltage-gated calcium channels to inhibit the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle cells. This action results in systemic vasodilation and a reduction in peripheral vascular resistance, which effectively lowers blood pressure and decreases myocardial oxygen demand. It is approved for the management of hypertension and angina pectoris. The controlled-release delivery system is designed to provide sustained therapeutic drug levels over an extended period, improving dosing convenience and therapeutic stability compared to immediate-release formulations.
