Drug intelligence / Profile preview
辣椒风湿膏 (Lajiao Fengshi Gao), also known as Chili Rheumatism Plaster, is an approved over-the-counter (OTC) topical analgesic plaster developed and manufactured by Lingrui Pharmaceutical. Indicated for the relief of rheumatic pain, musculoskeletal pain, joint aches, and sprains, the plaster utilizes capsicum (chili pepper) as its primary active component. It functions as a topical rubefacient and analgesic by activating Transient Receptor Potential Vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) receptors, which induces a warming sensation, promotes local blood circulation, and modulates pain signaling. As a traditional Chinese medicine-based formulation, it is a staple product in Lingrui Pharmaceutical's extensive adhesive plaster portfolio, which is one of the largest in China.
