Drug intelligence / Profile preview
麝香止痛贴膏 (Shexiang Zhitong Tiegao), also known as Musk Analgesic Patch, is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) topical plaster developed and marketed by Lingrui Pharmaceutical. The formulation is a complex mixture of herbal extracts and chemical analgesics, including musk (muscone), Sichuan aconite, wild aconite, frankincense, myrrh, angelica, Sichuan lovage, safflower, and peach kernel, supplemented with menthol and methyl salicylate. It is indicated for the relief of local pain associated with rheumatism, joint pain, lower back pain, musculoskeletal injuries, and sprains. According to TCM principles, the patch works by dispelling wind and dampness, promoting blood circulation, relaxing tendons, and reducing swelling. The product received regulatory approval in China in 2007 and is a staple in the manufacturer's topical analgesic portfolio.
