1,3-dicaffeoylquinic acid is a natural polyphenolic compound and an isomer of cynarin, primarily found in plants such as artichoke (*Cynara scolymus*). In pharmacological research, it is frequently utilized as a potent activator of the PI3K/Akt/Nrf2 signaling pathway. By stimulating this pathway, it promotes the nuclear translocation of Nrf2, leading to the upregulation of antioxidant enzymes and providing protection against oxidative stress and ferroptosis.
