105AD7 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that functions as an anti-idiotype cancer vaccine. It mimics the tumor-associated antigen CD55 (also known as 791Tgp72), which is overexpressed in many solid tumors, including osteosarcoma and metastatic colorectal cancer. By acting as a surrogate for this antigen, 105AD7 stimulates the immune system—particularly T-cells—to recognize and attack tumor cells expressing CD55. Clinical studies have shown that it can induce antitumor inflammatory responses and activate both helper and cytotoxic T-cell responses in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer[1][2][3][6]. The drug has been investigated primarily as an immunotherapy for various cancers.
