Overview

10H04 is a monoclonal antibody (mAb) developed to target human islet amyloid polypeptide (hIAPP) protofibrils, which are toxic aggregates implicated in the destruction of insulin-producing β cells in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2D). This mAb is designed to specifically bind to hIAPP protofibrils without interacting with monomeric hIAPP. Preclinical studies in a mouse model of T2D have shown that 10H04 can detect hIAPP protofibrils in serum and pancreatic islets, delay disease progression, and significantly increase overall survival by preserving β cell function and addressing the underlying pathological mechanism of hIAPP aggregation.
