10XB101 is a proprietary injectable formulation of polidocanol developed by 10xBio for submental body contouring and fat reduction. Polidocanol is an established sclerosant approved in the U.S. for vein sclerotherapy, but in this novel formulation it is being repurposed for aesthetic medicine to reduce localized fat deposits, particularly under the chin (submental area). The drug acts as an endothelial cell modulator and vascular disrupting agent, leading to targeted destruction of adipose tissue at the injection site. Clinical trials have demonstrated that 10XB101 provides superior efficacy, fewer side effects (notably less pain and swelling), enhanced patient tolerability, and shorter treatment intervals compared to deoxycholate-based therapies such as Kybella.
