Overview

11-hydroxyaclacinomycin X (ID-6105) is a novel anthracycline compound investigated primarily for its potential as an anti-cancer agent. Preclinical pharmacokinetic studies in rats demonstrated that, following intravenous administration, ID-6105 is rapidly distributed to tissues including the kidney, lung, spleen, adrenal gland, and liver, and is predominantly excreted via the biliary route. The compound is rapidly cleared from the blood and does not appear to accumulate in tissues or plasma after repeated dosing. The precise mechanism of action for ID-6105 has not been detailed in the available literature, but as an anthracycline, it is likely to act as a DNA intercalator and topoisomerase II inhibitor, similar to other drugs in this class[1].
