Drug intelligence / Profile preview
1100 ppm as MFP is a fluoride-containing dentifrice (toothpaste) formulated with 1,100 parts per million of fluoride delivered as sodium monofluorophosphate (MFP) in a silica abrasive base. Developed by Procter & Gamble, it is used as a reference or comparator product in clinical research evaluating anticaries efficacy. The active ingredient, sodium monofluorophosphate, acts on tooth enamel by promoting remineralization and inhibiting demineralization, with its biological target being dental enamel hydroxyapatite. It is indicated for the prevention of dental caries and has been evaluated in clinical trials, including a Phase 1 crossover study (NCT06735235) assessing salivary fluoride clearance in healthy adults.
