Drug intelligence / Profile preview
111In-DOTA-LHRH is a novel radiolabeled peptide-based antagonist targeting the luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone receptor (LHRH-R), also known as the gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor (GnRHR). Developed by the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research (INER) in Taiwan, the agent consists of an LHRH antagonist peptide conjugated to a DOTA chelator and radiolabeled with the single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) radionuclide indium-111 (111In). It is designed as a diagnostic imaging agent to detect and visualize LHRH-R overexpressing tumors, such as triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), using SPECT/CT imaging. Preclinical studies in mouse models bearing HCC 1806 and MDA-MB-231 TNBC tumors have demonstrated favorable biodistribution, tumor-targeting specificity, and clear imaging performance.
