Overview

111In-DOTA-peptide-m170 is a radiometal immunoconjugate consisting of the murine monoclonal antibody m170 (which targets aberrant carbohydrate residues on MUC1) linked to the radiometal chelate Indium-111 (111In)-DOTA via a cathepsin B-cleavable peptide linker (specifically a glycyl-glycyl-glycyl-phenylalanine [GGGF] tetrapeptide). Developed for the imaging and dosimetry of adenocarcinomas, particularly breast and prostate cancers, this agent utilizes the cleavable linker to facilitate the elimination of radioactivity from normal tissues like the liver, thereby reducing hepatic radiation dose and improving the therapeutic index compared to non-cleavable counterparts. It is typically used as a diagnostic imaging tracer and surrogate to predict the biodistribution and dosimetry of its therapeutic counterpart, 90Y-DOTA-peptide-m170.
