111In-hPAM4 is an indium-111-labeled, humanized monoclonal antibody (hPAM4, also called clivatuzumab tetraxetan) that selectively binds a mucin glycoprotein epitope present in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas but not in normal pancreatic tissue or most other normal tissues[1][2][4][5]. The radiolabeling with indium-111 enables use of this antibody for diagnostic imaging, assessing biodistribution, pharmacokinetics, tumor targeting, and radiation dosimetry before therapeutic administration of a companion antibody conjugated to yttrium-90[1][2][3]. hPAM4’s mechanism involves selective targeting of a disease-associated mucin (MUC1) antigen, enabling visualization of tumors via nuclear imaging modalities[4][5]. 111In-hPAM4 is primarily investigated as part of pre-therapy diagnostic work-up in patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma, especially those with advanced or metastatic disease[1][2][3][4]. It is not a therapeutic but an imaging/profiling agent.
