Overview

111In-hu3S193 is a radioimmunoconjugate consisting of the humanized monoclonal antibody hu3S193 labeled with the radioisotope Indium-111. The antibody component (hu3S193) targets the Lewis Y carbohydrate antigen, which is expressed on the surface of many carcinomas including breast, colorectal, and lung cancers. This agent functions as both a diagnostic and therapeutic tool, allowing for tumor imaging through gamma radiation and potential therapeutic effects. The humanized antibody was developed through CDR grafting of the murine antibody 3S193 to reduce immunogenicity while maintaining specificity and improving immune effector functions.
