Drug intelligence / Profile preview
111In-PSMA-INER-56 (also known as 111In-NARI-PSMA or 111In-MH-PC-AB-56) is a long-acting, radiolabeled peptide-based diagnostic imaging agent developed by the National Atomic Research Institute (NARI, formerly the Institute of Nuclear Energy Research or INER) in Taiwan. It is designed to target prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), which is highly overexpressed in prostate cancer and its bone metastases. The molecule features a novel albumin-binding motif (a p-methyl-phenyl group) that extends its blood circulation half-life by binding to serum albumin, allowing for a slow-release mechanism that enhances tumor accumulation and retention. Radiolabeled with indium-111 (111In), it is utilized for single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT/CT) imaging to visualize PSMA-positive prostate cancer lesions. It forms a theranostic pair with its therapeutic counterpart, 177Lu-PSMA-INER-56.
