Overview

**11C-CPPC** is a positron-emitting radiotracer developed for use in positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. It selectively binds to the colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R), which is predominantly expressed on microglial cells in the brain. By targeting CSF1R, 11C-CPPC enables non-invasive imaging of microglial activation and neuroinflammation in vivo. This radiotracer has demonstrated high affinity and selectivity for CSF1R (IC50 values as low as 0.8 nM), making it suitable for studying neuroimmune processes associated with diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s disease, and post acute COVID‑19 syndrome ("Long COVID"). Its primary application is as a diagnostic tool to visualize and quantify microglial activity in neurological disorders using PET scans[3][6][8].
