Overview

124I-A11 PSCA minibody is a radiopharmaceutical imaging agent designed for positron emission tomography (PET) of prostate cancer. It consists of a "minibody"—a genetically engineered antibody fragment comprising a single-chain variable fragment (scFv) linked to the CH3 domain of human IgG1—that specifically targets the Prostate Stem Cell Antigen (PSCA). PSCA is a cell surface glycoprotein highly overexpressed in prostate cancer, particularly in bone metastases and hormone-refractory cases. The minibody format (approximately 80 kDa) is optimized for rapid blood clearance and efficient tumor penetration compared to full-length antibodies, allowing for high-contrast imaging at earlier time points. Labeled with the positron emitter Iodine-124, this agent enables the non-invasive detection and localization of PSCA-positive lesions. It was primarily developed by researchers at UCLA and licensed to ImaginAb.
