Overview

124I-HuCC49deltaCH2 is a radiopharmaceutical imaging agent consisting of a humanized monoclonal antibody fragment, HuCC49deltaCH2, labeled with the positron-emitting radioisotope iodine-124 (124I). The antibody component is a CH2-domain-deleted version of the humanized CC49 antibody, which specifically targets Tumor-Associated Glycoprotein 72 (TAG-72), an oncofetal antigen highly expressed in various adenocarcinomas, including colorectal, gastric, and pancreatic cancers. By deleting the CH2 domain, the antibody exhibits faster blood clearance and improved tumor-to-background ratios compared to the full-length antibody, making it highly suitable for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging. This agent is primarily developed for the non-invasive detection, staging, and monitoring of TAG-72-positive tumors.
