Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of 13-cis-retinoic acid (cRA) and temozolomide (TMZ). 13-cis-retinoic acid is a metabolite of Vitamin A that induces cell differentiation, apoptosis, and inhibits cell proliferation. Temozolomide is an oral alkylating agent. This combination has been studied primarily for the treatment of recurrent malignant gliomas, showing improved progression-free survival compared to single-agent treatments in some clinical trials.
