13-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine

The Liaoning Chengda-associated **13-valent pneumococcal polysaccharide conjugate vaccine** is an investigational multivalent prophylactic conjugate vaccine for prevention of diseases caused by *Streptococcus pneumoniae*. It contains capsular polysaccharide antigens representing 13 pneumococcal serotypes conjugated to a carrier protein, converting the normally T-cell-independent polysaccharide response into a T-cell-dependent immune response and inducing serotype-specific protective antibodies. The candidate was evaluated in the Phase 1 trial NCT05602480, a randomized, blinded, active-controlled study assessing safety and immunogenicity in healthy participants aged at least 6 weeks.
