Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**131I-AC133 mAb** is an investigational iodine-131 radioimmunoconjugate comprising an anti-CD133 AC133 monoclonal antibody labeled with iodine-131. The antibody targets **prominin-1**, also known as CD133, a cell-surface marker enriched in cancer stem-like cell populations. Following binding to CD133-positive tumor cells, iodine-131 delivers localized beta-emitting radiation intended to induce tumor-cell damage. Academic preclinical studies in colorectal cancer xenografts demonstrated selective tumor uptake in CD133-positive tumors and reported imaging utility; subsequent mouse radioimmunotherapy studies with the closely described 131I-AC133.1 mAb reported delayed tumor growth and improved survival. The asset has not been identified as having entered clinical development or commercial manufacture.
