Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**131I-Hsp90α-mAb** is an iodine-131 radiolabeled monoclonal antibody directed against heat shock protein 90-alpha. It was evaluated as a preclinical molecular-imaging probe for human prostate cancer xenografts. The antibody binds tumor-associated cell-surface Hsp90α, enabling gamma-camera imaging after administration; in the reported mouse study, prostate tumors were clearly visualized from 3 hours after injection. The construct was radioiodinated using chloramine-T and had radiochemical purity above 95% after purification. ([europeanreview.org](https://www.europeanreview.org/article/8635))
