Drug intelligence / Profile preview
131I-labeled monoclonal antibody 250-30.6 is a radiopharmaceutical consisting of a murine monoclonal antibody, 250-30.6, conjugated to the radioactive isotope Iodine-131. The antibody specifically targets a cell-surface antigen associated with human colorectal carcinoma. Primarily utilized for immunoscintigraphy, this agent allows for the non-invasive detection and localization of primary and metastatic colon cancer deposits via gamma camera imaging. Clinical evaluations have demonstrated high sensitivity in detecting metastatic lesions in the liver and other sites, though its reactivity can extend to other adenocarcinomas such as those of the pancreas and breast.
