Overview

161Tb-NYM032 is an investigational radioligand therapy developed by Zhengguo Chen for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). The compound consists of a small molecule ligand, NYM032, which specifically targets the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) expressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells. It is labeled with terbium-161 (161Tb), a theranostic radionuclide that emits both beta particles and Auger electrons. The inclusion of Auger electrons, which have high linear energy transfer and a very short range, potentially provides superior efficacy against micrometastatic disease and single cancer cells compared to traditional lutetium-177-based therapies. The drug is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary anti-tumor activity.
