Drug intelligence / Profile preview
177Lu-DTPA-Nb2F8 is a radiolabeled single-domain antibody (nanobody) conjugate being developed for the treatment of CD38-expressing malignancies, primarily multiple myeloma. The agent consists of the anti-CD38 nanobody clone 2F8 conjugated via the chelator diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) to the beta-emitting radioisotope lutetium-177 (177Lu). By targeting CD38, which is highly expressed on multiple myeloma cells, the nanobody delivers targeted radiation directly to the tumor site, inducing DNA damage and cell death while minimizing systemic toxicity. Preclinical studies in mouse xenograft models of multiple myeloma have demonstrated specific tumor targeting, rapid clearance from non-target tissues, and dose-dependent tumor regression and survival prolongation.
