177Lu-FAP-VG-02 is a preclinical-stage radionuclide drug conjugate (RDC) developed by VitsGen Therapeutics for the treatment of tumors expressing fibroblast activation protein (FAP). The therapeutic consists of a targeting moiety specific to FAP conjugated to the beta-emitting radioisotope Lutetium-177 (177Lu). By binding to FAP, which is highly expressed in the tumor stroma and various cancer cells, the drug delivers localized ionizing radiation to induce DNA damage and cell death in FAP-positive tumors while minimizing off-target effects. VitsGen Therapeutics aims for an IND filing in late 2024, with clinical trials projected to begin in late 2025.
