Drug intelligence / Profile preview
177Lu-JMF-04 is a preclinical-stage radiopharmaceutical being developed for the imaging and treatment of CXCR4-expressing malignancies. It is a DOTA-conjugated peptide analog of EPI-X4, an endogenous peptide antagonist of C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) derived from human serum albumin. Labeled with the beta-emitting radionuclide lutetium-177 (177Lu), 177Lu-JMF-04 is designed as a theranostic agent to target CXCR4-overexpressing cancer cells, delivering localized radiation to destroy tumor tissue. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that 177Lu-JMF-04 possesses high affinity for CXCR4, favorable hydrophilicity, and an improved biodistribution profile compared to 177Lu-Pentixather, characterized by low background activity and low liver uptake, though with accumulation in the kidneys.
