177Lu-LNCAb103 is a preclinical therapeutic radiopharmaceutical being developed by LNC Pharma for the treatment of Gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR)-positive tumors, including breast and prostate cancers. The agent is an antibody-based radioconjugate consisting of a monoclonal antibody (LNCAb103) that specifically targets GRPR, labeled with the beta-emitting radioisotope Lutetium-177 (177Lu). GRPR is a G protein-coupled receptor that is highly expressed in several solid tumors, where it plays a role in tumor cell proliferation and survival. By binding to these receptors on the surface of cancer cells, 177Lu-LNCAb103 delivers targeted cytotoxic ionizing radiation directly to the tumor site, inducing DNA double-strand breaks and subsequent apoptosis. This targeted approach is designed to maximize therapeutic efficacy while minimizing radiation exposure to healthy non-target tissues.
