177Lu-NRT6020 is a therapeutic radiopharmaceutical being developed by Chengdu New Radiomedicine Technology for the treatment of advanced solid tumors. It consists of a targeting ligand, NRT6020, which specifically binds to Fibroblast Activation Protein (FAP), conjugated to the beta-emitting radioisotope Lutetium-177 (177Lu). FAP is highly expressed in cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) within the tumor stroma of various solid tumors, while showing low expression in normal tissues, making it a promising target for precision oncology. By delivering localized ionizing radiation directly to the tumor microenvironment, 177Lu-NRT6020 aims to induce DNA damage and cell death in FAP-positive tissues. It is typically evaluated as part of a theranostic pair alongside the diagnostic imaging agent 68Ga-NRT6020, which is used to select patients with sufficient FAP expression for treatment.
