Overview

177Lu-NYM032 is a therapeutic radiopharmaceutical developed by Wuxi Nuoyu Pharmaceutical Technology for the treatment of prostate cancer. It is a radioligand therapy comprising the beta-emitting radioisotope Lutetium-177 (177Lu) complexed with a ligand that specifically targets Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), a protein highly overexpressed in prostate cancer cells, particularly in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Upon intravenous administration, the drug binds to PSMA on the surface of tumor cells and is internalized, allowing the Lutetium-177 to deliver localized, high-energy beta radiation that causes double-stranded DNA breaks and subsequent cell death. This targeted approach aims to minimize damage to surrounding healthy tissues while effectively treating disseminated disease.
