Overview

177Lu-P17-088 is a novel radiopharmaceutical therapy designed for the treatment of prostate cancer. It consists of the beta-emitting radioisotope Lutetium-177 (177Lu) conjugated to P17-088, a small molecule ligand that specifically targets Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), which is highly expressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells. A distinguishing feature of P17-088 is its albumin-binding moiety, which is engineered to extend the drug's circulation time in the blood, thereby potentially increasing tumor uptake and therapeutic efficacy while reducing renal clearance and associated toxicity. The drug is currently being evaluated in clinical trials, primarily for patients with PSMA-positive metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
